THE PROCESS

PROVIDING THE MODEL

You must provide your own model. You can ship directly to me or I'm happy to organise an online order from an Australian supplier to cut costs. I accept resins (any scale), stones, and Breyers - NO VINTAGE.

PREPPING

All models require prepping, unless done professionally beforehand,. I always sand down and prime the models - no stripping or sandblasting. Breyer models (trad/classic only) have air-holes moved, and any extensive prepping (e.g. repairs, seam splits, pinholes, etc) that require apoxie sculpt or extra layers of primer, will be charged extra. I will notify you if the model needs further prep than initially discussed - sometimes photos do not show the full of the model, so be prepared for any extra costs.

Please note* that there may be some discrepancies, e.g. brushstrokes, bumps, speckling, etc.

REFERENCES

Please have a photo/reference for what you'd like your model painted as. I can provide suggestions or surprise you with a random design, but please be aware, this does reflect the price. I do my best to follow instructions, however I cannot guarantee the exact colours and/or markings/details. Replicating anything onto a physical piece isn't easy, but you will be informed if I'm uncomfortable with sculpting/repairing/painting anything.

REPAIRS

I am NOT a professional restoration artist, but have successfully repaired models in the past. It's very experimental, and I love the challenge of restoring models to their former glory. I do not have firm prices, and it depends on the amount of work required - from breakages, to rubs, paint chips, and basic clean up, I've managed to fix resins, customs and original finish models.

THIS IS BUYERS OWN RISK*

Please contact me for more information!

TURNAROUND

I do NOT have a turnaround time. Restoration and customising is tedious work, and I do my best when not under pressure. I'm a casual artist, with a full-time job and live independently, so I can only work on commissions during my spare time. Most commissions take 3 - 12 months max.

SHIPPING / POSTAGE

I do not include shipping/postage in the final total - you are charged the exact amount when the model is ready to go home. Tracking is included and insurance optional. Each model is wrapped carefully and protected by bubble wrap to avoid damage protect during transit. I am not liable for any damage or loss during transit, but do reach out if you have any concerns.

COMMUNICATION

I do my best to update as frequently as possible, but I'm very flexible and easy-going. You're more than welcome to request photos or updates anytime. If you're struggling financially, just let me know - I'd rather be aware, than left on read. If left unanswered or without any explanation for a lengthy period of time, I have every right to keep the model and you will NOT be refunded. Please also be aware, I may post photos publicly to my social media platforms - whether they are work in progress or final glamour shots. With permission, you are also welcome to share - just ask me, please and thank you.

My favourite part of painting models, is creating unique pieces with my own fingerprint on them. Each model has a story when I work on them - even earning a studio name. I work tirelessly to prep, repair, paint and seal models, making sure everyone is happy with the results.
